Fine Gael has accused the Tánaiste and Minister for Health Mary Harney of keeping quiet on her plans for health care reform.

It is now 100 days since Ms Harney took up her new job in the Department of Health and there are still 234 people waiting on hospital trolleys today according to research carried out by the opposition.

Fine Gael said that the veil of secrecy has now fallen on waiting lists.

They are now being managed by the National Treatment Purchase Fund and it is not expected to publish any figures until next year.
