The funeral of a teenager killed for his phone last week is to take place later today.

The funeral of a teenager killed for his phone last week is to take place later today.

Thousands of people are expected to attend Alan Higgins' funeral.

The 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death last week outside a cinema in Coolock.

The funeral of the boy will take place at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Donaghmede.

His remains will then be removed to a crematorium in Glasnevin.

To date, a 15-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the boy's death.
