Walter Acre, 13, was walking home from school in Rakkestad when he found himself encircled by four furry fiends, which looked ready to attack.

However, when he played a loud song by band Megadeth, the creatures scattered.

The teenager had previously been warned never to run away if confronted by the wild animals and to try to scare them off instead.

Walter eventually made it home safely with the assistance of one last blast of music to clear off a stray wolf that was prowling near his front porch.
