Sydney continues to face the threat of bush fires.

Sydney continues to face the threat of bush fires.

Flames as high as 60ft are reportedly within a mile of the city’s central area.

Police believe the fresh blaze has been started deliberately and could move into further parkland.

Temperatures in the region have soared to 38C and dry outback winds are also fuelling the flames, which are being battled by 15,000 fire-fighters.
