A poll carried out in one of today’s papers says the Nice Treaty is set to be approved by a comfortable majority of two to one.

The ICM-Ireland on Sunday poll found that 37% would vote for the treaty with 19% against.

More than 1,000 people were questioned during the week for the survey.

In addition, 54% said they did not have a good understanding of the issues involved.
