Ex-Irish international striker David Kelly hit his first league goal for Derry as they made it two wins on the spin in this FAI Cup quarter-final rehearsal.

Kelly struck on 34 minutes with a terrific lead goal.

Eddie McCallion did well down the right to cross and Kelly scored with a superb glancing header.

Derry survived sustained St. Pat's pressure, twice being saved by the woodwork, before Ciaran Martyn added their second goal in stoppage time when beating Shay Kelly with a well placed right-foot shot.
