Gardai have named the woman who was killed in south Dublin yesterday.
She has been identified as 17-year-old Niamh Murphy from Salthill in Galway.
Gardai say that her throat has been slit and its thought that she had been dead for at least a day before her body was found in Ballsbridge yesterday.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out by the State Pathologist’s Office to determine the exact cause of death.
