The European Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner begins a two-day visit to Ireland today to discuss Ireland's deficit reduction plan.
Olli Rehn will meet with the Finance Minister Brian Lenihan as well as Opposition spokespersons.
The Commissioner is in the country to peer over the shoulder of Mr Lenihan as the Government continues budgetary and economic stabilisation.
Already dubbed the man running the country, Olli Rehn will meet the Finance Minister to assess preparation of the four-year deficit reduction plan, and when it will be published.
Tomorrow he will meet with Opposition, social partners and the Central Bank.
