Another night of freezing temperatures has prompted officials at Market Rasen to announce an 8am inspection for Monday ahead of Tuesday’s National Hunt fixture.
Although the Lincolnshire course is currently frozen after another heavy frost on Friday night, managing director Pip Kirkby is expecting temperatures to rise over the next couple of days.
Kirkby said: “Temperatures got down to minus 8C last night and the course if frozen at present.
“But the forecast suggests things will improve going towards Tuesday and we’ll take a look at things on Monday morning to see where we are.
“Temperatures are set to rise, but we’re not sure how much at this stage.”
