Labour Party launches Yes campaign for Lisbon Treaty

The Labour Party has launched its campaign for a Yes vote in next month's Lisbon Treaty referendum.

The Labour Party has launched its campaign for a Yes vote in next month's Lisbon Treaty referendum.

The launch took place in Dublin today.

The party claimed the treaty will increase people's rights, make the union more efficient and give the Dáil a greater role in EU decision making.

Labour leader Eamon Gilmore said he believes the more people know about the treaty, the more likely they are to say Yes.
