Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy has launched a plan aimed at promoting and developing public-private partnerships in Ireland.

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy has launched a plan aimed at promoting and developing public-private partnerships in Ireland.

The PR campaign is designed to sell the concept of PPPs, which are the mechanism used by the Government to privatise or part-privatise state-controlled public services.

The Government is hoping to significantly expand its current programme of PPPs due to shortages in public funding for projects like road infrastructure and hospital building.
