Tipperary Allstar hurling goalkeeper Brendan Cummins is to undergo a scan and ultrasound examination today for a damaged stomach muscle sustained in yesterday's Bank of Ireland Senior Football Final Replay against Cork.
Cummins failed to appear for the second half having picked up the injury before the break and is rated very doubtful for the footballers' qualifier game with Roscommon on Saturday in Ennis and the hurlers' All-Ireland quarter final game against Antrim on Sunday in Croke Park.
Hurling boss Nicky English and his football counterpart Tom McGlinchy await the results of the examinations which are to take place this afternoon.
