Gardaí have handed out leaflets around Dublin city in an effort to establish the identity of a man, whose dismembered body was found in the Royal Canal last week.

Gardaí have handed out leaflets around Dublin city in an effort to establish the identity of a man, whose dismembered body was found in the Royal Canal last week.

They said that fingerprints and forensics have failed to identify the man, who is believed an African in his 20s or 30s.

The confidential crime phoneline, Crimestoppers, has also offered a cash award for any information about the killing.
