AVX is cutting jobs in Northern Ireland.
The US electronics company says 65 staff will be made redundant with the closure of its plant in Co Antrim.
The closure of the distribution centre in Larne will take place over the next six months.
Where possible, employees will be offered jobs at their facility in Coleraine, Co Derry where suitable vacancies exist.
Martin McGulgan, European Vice President of AVX, says they regret the uncertainty created by the decision, but he believes the move will strengthen its overall business.
Earlier US automotive and aviation engineering firm Honeywell said it would be cutting 140 from its 800-strong workforce at four plants south of the border in Waterford.
The company said the reductions over the coming months would be in both its automotive castings plant and its aircraft castings plant.
