Spire construction resumes today

A third part of the Millennium Spire will be added today on Dublin's O'Connell street.

A third part of the Millennium Spire will be added today on Dublin's O'Connell street.

The 120-metre high monument is due to be constructed by the end of the month.

The third part of the monument was delivered to Dublin before Christmas but remained in storage until today.

The section is more than 15 metres long and weighs 20 tonnes. To date, the project has cost more €4.5m.
