The Cabinet is to meet in Donegal next month.

Details have been finalised for Ministers to assemble at Glenveagh Castle in Co Donegal on September 19.

It is only the fourth time the Cabinet has met outside Dublin, a trend started by the last FF-PD administration.

Junior Transport Minister and Donegal TD Jim McDaid, is excited about the prospect.

"It will be an ordinary Cabinet meeting, but with the focus on Donegal. You can tell people what Donegal needs are but there is nothing like seeing things for yourself."
