Gerard Houllier put a brave face Liverpool's continued struggles away from home following a 1-1 draw at Manchester City.
Danny Tiatto cancelled out Emile Heskey's 17th goal of the season, leaving Liverpool's away record still not looking as healthy as boss Houllier would hope.
The Champions League hopefuls have won just three of their 12 Premiership matches on their travels this season, but Houllier refused to be downbeat.
"Our away form is not as good as it should be, but it's all right," he argued.
"We have conceded six goals in our last 16 games and we have kept 11 clean sheets.
"They were strong tonight and gave us a good game.
"Sometimes you have to respect that and give credit to the opposition.
"The only thing I can reproach my players for is that we didn't score a second goal when we had a couple of chances.
"Actually I thought we should have won, but it's a good point away because when you play against teams who are fighting for their lives it's very difficult."
