The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is due to unveil a new range of initiatives today aimed at making it easier to get access to third-level education.
Details of the measures will be outlined at a conference being held by the authority in Kilkenny over the next two days.
The initiatives are contained in the 2005-2007 action plan for the HEA’s national office for equity of access to higher education, which will be launched at the conference by Education Minister Mary Hanafin.
