Apache crashes in Iraq

A US Apache helicopter went down this morning near the western Iraqi town town of Habbaniyah today.

A US Apache helicopter went down this morning near the western Iraqi town town of Habbaniyah today.

There were no injuries reported, said Lieutenant Colonel. Dan Williams, a U.S. military spokesman.

No details were available on why the helicopter crashed.

Last week, an army Black Hawk medevac helicopter was shot down by a rocket in the same region, killing all nine soldiers aboard.
