Galway footballer Derek Savage is expected to miss the Connacht semi-final against Mayo after injuring his hamstring during Sunday’s victory over Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park.

Meanwhile, Roscommon will almost certainly be without Francie Grehan for their All-Ireland quarter-final play-off after he was caught on camera stamping on Galway captain Padraig Joyce.

The GAA’s Games Administration Committee is likely to discuss the matter when it meets tomorrow night.

Under GAA rules, illegal use of the foot carries a mandatory 12-week suspension, meaning Grehan could potentially be ruled out until August 11.
