Search launched for missing kayaker
A major search and rescue operation is underway off the Co Wexford coast for a missing kayaker.
The alarm was raised after the man got into diffuculty off Slade Head just before 3pm this afternoon.
A number of lifeboats, coastguard units and the Waterford coastguard helicopter are involved in the operation which is being hampered by force seven winds and heavy rain and sleet.
Another kayaker who was with the man at the time managed to get to safety.
