It is understood gardaí are treating a major fire which has destroyed a paper plant in Drogheda, Co Louth as arson.

It is understood gardaí are treating a major fire which has destroyed a paper plant in Drogheda, Co Louth as arson.

The blaze broke out at about 10pm last night at Dawn Paper on the Donore Road.

Ten units of the fire brigade are continuing to tackle the blaze this morning.

There are no reports of any injuries.
