All-clear for Allardyce

Bolton report no new injury worries following the return of several first-team players from a fortnight’s international duty.

Bolton report no new injury worries following the return of several first-team players from a fortnight’s international duty.

Boss Sam Allardyce is, though, hoping his multi-cultural squad will quickly turn their attentions back to domestic matters as he prepares them for tomorrow’s noon Lancashire derby clash with Manchester City at the Reebok Stadium.

Defender Simon Charlton has recovered from the knee injury which forced him to miss last two games, while winger Ricardo Gardner is also available having shrugged off a hamstring problem picked up in the win over Tottenham.

Paul Warhurst and Gareth Farrelly are both out on loan, while defender Mike Whitlow has been in action for the reserves as he targets a return to the first-team squad following a lay-off with a knee problem, but still lacks match fitness.

PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Jaaskelainen, N’Gotty, Bergsson, Laville, Charlton, Mendy, Frandsen, Gardner, Okocha, Campo, Nolan, Djorkaeff, Pedersen, Ballesta, Andre, Poole, Barness, Salva.
