The second round of benchmarking payments are due to go ahead from January 1 after the Civil Service Performance Verification Group (CSPVG) approved all increases under its remit.

Chairman Dr Donal de Buitleir has decided that payment of the increases was warranted for all grades in each of the organizations he oversaw.

Payment of the benchmarking and general round increases is dependent on verification under the terms of the Government's Sustaining Progress document.

This relates to co-operation with flexibility and ongoing change, satisfactory implementation of the modernisation agenda in the Agreement and maintenance of stable industrial relations and the absence of industrial action.
