Man found following early morning abduction

Gardai in Dublin are investigating the abduction of a man in West Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

He was taken from his home, and driven to Co Wicklow where he was released.

Three armed men broke into the man’s house on Tully Hall Crescent in Lucan, West Dublin.

It is believed that one of the men was armed with a sawn-off shotgun.

Two men live at the residence in Lucan and one of the men was tied up and bundled into his Subaru Impreza car and was driven away. The second man was left in the house uninjured. He immediately made a 999 call.

The other man was driven to Kilteel in Wicklow and left there. He was eventually located at 4am, he had not been injured.

Gardai have launched an investigation into the incident but the motive is still unclear. The Subaru Impreza car has not yet been recovered.
