The International Criminal Court prosecutor says he is “100%” certain that his investigation will lead to charges of crimes against humanity against the Libyan regime of Muammar Gaddafi.
Luis Moreno-Ocampo said his team is looking into six incidents of violence against civilians and trying to identify those who participated in and ordered the attacks.
Gaddafi’s crackdown on the wave of anti-regime protests that broke out last month has been the harshest against any of the anti-government uprising across the Middle East inspired by those in Tunisia and Egypt.
Moreno-Ocampo said he would brief the UN Security Council on his findings in May and present his case to the international court’s judge soon after.
