Shaun of the Dead

Shaun of the Dead is a low-key British film which comes out of the current strengths of TV. It's funny and clever and well played by a strong cast.
The idea is that the streets of London are filled with zombies, though those not of the undead persuasion seem unaware of the fact.
A group of 'normal' folk, more aware that the neighbours have suddenly turned strange, try to make their bickering way to safety, all the while maintaining the sort of distance the English are noted for.
It's the sort of film which might have you thinking in terms of some of the least entertaining efforts of the Brit industry, but it's a lot better than you would think. No classic, of course, but still highly enjoyable.
The idea of some people trying to maintain the ordinariness of life while everything is falling apart around them has its appeal.
You just might not know the truth about the people sitting beside you!
