Call for two Govts to get tough on exclusion orders

The Dublin and London governments are being urged to get tough with loyalist and republican paramilitaries in the North.

The Dublin and London governments are being urged to get tough with loyalist and republican paramilitaries in the North.

Fine Gael’s northern spokesman, Brian Hayes, says the paramilitaries have been left off the hook for too long, particularly in relation to so-called exclusion orders.

Mr Hayes says the banishment of people from the North is a disgrace and the governments must put a stop to it.

He says it is immoral and unjustifiable that the paramilitaries can banish people from either the North or the Republic.
