A reconstruction of the last known movements of missing schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman is being organised.
British police are making the move in a bid to trigger people's memories of events last Sunday night.
Police have been focusing on sightings of the two 10-year-olds around the town of Soham, Cambridgeshire, UK, where they disappeared.
The best friends are thought to have been spotted at a petrol station on the outskirts of the town at 7pm, then back in the town at 7.20pm.
Police are also seeking to establish the exact sequence of events after Jessica went to the Wells' family home at around 5pm and the girls used Holly's computer for 24 minutes between 5.11pm and 5.35pm.
That computer has been examined and "potentially significant" information was found on it, though police have refused to say what information that was or if the girls were accessing chat rooms or emails.
Potential sightings have flooded in from across the UK and police said it was vital people everywhere in the country remained vigilant.
Detectives believe the children were snatched and are still alive, and have appealed to their abductors to bring them back.
They say the strongest possibility is that the girls are still in the area near Soham, as most abductors strike near to their own homes, but are working round the clock to check possible sightings all over Britain.
An all-ports alert was issued earlier in the week and police are also considering the possibility that Jessica could have befriended someone during a recent family holiday on Menorca.
