Adams and Trimble meet in Belfast

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams met with Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble in Belfast today.

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams met with Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble in Belfast today.

After the meeting, Mr Adams said he would prefer if elections in the North were held in November in the midst of a potential deal between Republicans and Unionists.

He went on to say that although he expects elections to proceed, advance agreement would be preferable.
