Association launched for marina operators
A new association has been launched to promote international standards in Irish marinas.
Eighteen coastal marinas on either side of the border have already joined the Irish Marina Operators Association.
The body is designed to promote the growth or the marina industry in Ireland.
Meanwhile work has begun on a new headquarters for the Marine Institute in Co Galway. The facility and its 160 staff are being relocated to Oranmore.
The Marine Institute has claimed that the move is worth €17m annually to the local economy.
