UCD will be hoping to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Shamrock Rovers when they take on Galway United at Terryland Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Students must plan without defender Andy Boyle as he is in Ukraine with the Ireland Under-19 squad.

Michael Leahy is likely to step into the vacant position in defence for the trip to Galway.

David McMillan is the only doubt for manager Martin Russell as the forward is struggling with a groin strain.

Greg Bolger returns to the squad after playing for the Ireland Under-23 side on Tuesday.

United's Seamus Conneely is a doubt as he has undergone treatment all week on a thigh injury which forced him out of the Ireland U-23 game on Wednesday.

The defender will be assessed ahead of the game before a final decision is made on his fitness.

Stephen O'Donnell is expected to return after missing the last four games through suspension and injury.

Derek O'Brien (stomach strain) and Alan Murphy (knee) remain out for Sean Connor's side.
