Man seriously ill after Dublin shooting

A 28-year-old man was in a serious condition in hospital today after shots were fired through the front door of a house, gardaí said.

A 28-year-old man was in a serious condition in hospital today after shots were fired through the front door of a house, gardaí said.

Gardaí said two men on a motorcycle pulled up outside the house in Donaghmede, north Dublin, shortly after midnight.

Shots were fired through the door, hitting the victim who was inside the house.

The injured man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he remained in a serious condition.

The scene of the shooting was sealed off for technical examinations.
