Monsoon warns of sales disappointment
Fashion chain Monsoon warned today it remained in the grips of a sales slump.
The owner of the Accessorize chain said trading continued to be difficult and that it needed a material improvement from its spring and summer ranges to have any chance of hitting profits forecasts for the year to May 26.
It is the latest disappointment from the retailer, which reported lower half-year profits in January after a 6% fall in like-for-like sales.
Today, the company said trading continued to be difficult throughout the group, with further declines in sales in both January and February.
