Footballers Robbie Keane and Graeme Le Saux reckon they may follow David Ginola into acting.
The pair make their small screen debuts in new TV comedy Trevor’s World Of Sport.
They play themselves in the BBC1 show, which stars Neil Pearson as a sports agent who tries to poach them.
Chelsea defender Le Saux said the cameo role had given him a taste for acting.
“I’d love to do more acting in future,” he said. “It was totally different from being on a football pitch and, you never know, it might be a new career for me.”
Tottenham star Keane said: “I didn’t exactly have many lines compared to the real actors. I thought I did OK, but I don’t expect EastEnders to be ringing me for a cameo.
“It was a completely different experience for me and one I’d like to repeat at some stage.”
Other soccer stars lined up for cameo appearances in the sitcom, which begins next Friday, include Gary Lineker, David Seaman and Alan Shearer.
David Ginola has been having acting lessons at London stage school Rada as he bids to become a serious actor.
He recently made his acting debut in a charity show in Westcliff, Essex.
