Relatives of one of the so-called 'Disappeared' say they have received a map showing where his body might be buried.

Relatives of one of the so-called 'Disappeared' say they have received a map showing where his body might be buried.

Gerry Evans, from Crossmaglen in south Armagh, was last seen hitching a lift in Castleblaney, Co Monaghan, in March 1979.

His family have never been told what happened to him or where he might be buried.

They have now revealed that they received a white card five months ago containing a map and the words: "This is where I believe Gerry to be buried. I hope this helps and God bless you all."

The site is being kept secret while tests are carried out and it could be a year before digging can start.
