Corrie wedding to be 'full of drama'
Coronation Street's Rita Sullivan's wedding day will be "full of drama".
The Kabin owner - played by Barbara Knox - is set to tie the knot for the third time with Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie), but with the bride-to-be set to be kidnapped on her big day, it is not known whether she will make it down the aisle.
A source said: "In traditional 'Corrie' style, this'll surely be a wedding day to remember with plenty of drama.
"The producer, Phil Collinson, has already revealed that Rita's going to be kidnapped - so it'll be touch and go as to whether she does become Mrs. Tanner.
"Everyone will be hoping that Rita's special day won't be ruined. She and Dennis are meant to be together, so it'll be heartbreaking if she doesn't get to walk up the aisle again."
Rita's wedding outfit is said to convey a sense of "fun" while also being tasteful.
The source added to Inside Soap magazine: "Rita's outfit was chosen to be as tasteful and appropriate as possible for a woman on her third wedding day.
"But it also has the sense of fun we expect from her. Rita's gorgeous hat is a sight to behold, and hopefully Dennis will get to say 'I do' to her while she's wearing it."
