Armagh star Diarmuid Marsden broke his leg yesterday in a club football match, just days after announcing his inter-county retirement.

Armagh star Diarmuid Marsden broke his leg yesterday in a club football match, just days after announcing his inter-county retirement.

The Clan na Gael player sustained the injury while lining out for his club yesterday.

The 1999 All Star winner announced his retirement last week, and had been a regular in the Orchard line-up since his debut in 1993, culminating in the 2002 victory over Kerry in the All-Ireland final.
