Liam Cunningham: Govt must 'get down on its knees' to bring Web Summit back to Dublin

The Government should get down on its knees and beg Paddy Cosgrave to bring Web Summit back to Dublin, according to Liam Cunningham.

The Game of Thrones actor was speaking at the event at the RDS today and he believes that the Government made a huge mistake in letting the event leave for Lisbon.

He also says changes need to be made to convince founder Paddy Cosgrave to return the event to Ireland.

When asked what changes needed to be made, he said: "Change the Government, get some younger people who actually know and realise the world is changing.

"Ireally get the impression that the people responsible for us losing this just didn't know this beautiful diamond that's in this town at the minute.

"What needs to change is the entire Government to get down on its knees to Paddy and beg him to bring it back."
