Ferris signs new Ulster contract

Ulster's up-and-coming blindside flanker Stephen Ferris has signed a new two-year contract that will see him stay at Ravenhill until the summer of 2009.

Ulster's up-and-coming blindside flanker Stephen Ferris has signed a new two-year contract that will see him stay at Ravenhill until the summer of 2009.

A former pupil of Friends School Lisburn and a member of the Dungannon club, Stephen made his Ulster debut against the Borders in 2005 and has been a regular in the team ever since.

He won his first Irish cap against The Pacific Islands in November. He has just recovered from a thumb injury and will feature in the Ireland A side which takes on the England Saxons at Ravenhill tonight.
