HSA to carry out more farm safety inspections

The Health and Safety Authority says it plans to carry out more inspections in an effort to reduce the level of deaths in the agricultural sector.

Two people have lost their lives in farm accidents so far this year.

Twenty-one of last year's 57 workplace fatalities happened on farms, which was a significant increase on the figure for 2007.
