New role for DCU president

The president of Dublin City University (DCU) is to take up a new post at a Scottish third level institute, it was confirmed today.

The president of Dublin City University (DCU) is to take up a new post at a Scottish third level institute, it was confirmed today.

Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski completed 10 years as head of DCU last June and is to become principal and vice-chancellor of Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

He succeeds Professor Mike Pittilo MBE, who died in February.
