Police in Derry are appealing for information following reports of a serious assault at a house in Magherafelt yesterday.

Police in Derry are appealing for information following reports of a serious assault at a house in Magherafelt yesterday.

Shortly after 10pm, the PSNI says it was reported that four masked men entered a house in Castle Park, Tobermore area armed with baseball bats and sledgehammers.

It is believed three men were assaulted during the incident.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital for injuries to his arm and head, which are not believed to be life threatening.

While, two men, were also assaulted during the incident were not believed to have received any serious injuries.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Magherafelt Police Station.
