Old Bailey trial for Huntley and Carr
The trial of Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr will take place at the Old Bailey, a judge has ruled.
They are both charged in connection with the murders of schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
Mr Justice Moses, sitting at Norwich Crown Court, said the trial should be moved out of East Anglia because of concerns that jurors might have links to strands of the police investigation.
No date has yet been set for the trial.
Holly and Jessica, both 10, vanished on August 4 shortly after being seen walking near their homes in Soham, Cambridgeshire. Their bodies were discovered in a ditch near Lakenheath, Suffolk, on August 17.
Huntley, 28, a former caretaker at a Soham secondary school, is accused of murdering the girls and of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
Carr, 25, a former teaching assistant in Holly and Jessica's class at a Soham primary school, is accused of perverting the course of justice.
Neither have yet entered pleas to the allegations.
Huntley and Carr's cases were listed together for the first time at Norwich Crown Court today before Mr Justice Moses. Neither defendant was present in court.
Lawyers on behalf of the prosecution and both defendants all agreed that the trial should take place in London for fear of jurors having links to the investigation.
