A search has been stood down in east Cork after a 93-yearold woman was found safe and well near this evening.

A search has been stood down in east Cork after a 93-yearold woman was found safe and well near this evening.

The woman is understood to have last been seen walking at Garryvoe beach close to Ballycotton earlier this afternoon.

Members of the garda, coastguard and local lifeboat were notified and a search operation was launched involving the Irish coastguard helicopter and Ballycotton RNLI lifeboat.

The woman has been found safe and well and the search operation has been stood down.
