A cross border investigation is underway following a bank raid in Co. Monaghan.
More than €100,000 was stolen and Gardaí say the thieves remain at large.
At around 5pm yesterday evening, two men, believed to be armed with handguns, rammed a white van into the Ulster Bank in Castleblaney.
They smashed through the window and snatched a box containing cash which was being loaded into the bank's ATM machine at the time.
More than €100,000 was stolen and the thieves made their getaway in the direction of Carrickmacross.
The PSNI is assisting the Gardaí with this investigation as it is likely the raiders drove across the border.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who may have information is being asked to contact Gardaí.
