Eagles swoop for Michael Hughes
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of midfielder Michael Hughes on a one-year contract.
The 32-year-old was on trial with the club during pre-season and impressed with performances against PSV Eindhoven and Chelsea.
Hughes told the club’s official website, www.cpfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted it’s been sorted out. It took a week longer than I hoped but I’m just happy it’s gone through.
“I’m looking forward to getting going now. There’s a very good squad here and I really believe this club has a chance of achieving something. I want to be part of it.”
The Northern Ireland international goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s home match against Watford.
