Cleese dumps lover after kiss-and-tell

John Cleese ended his relationship with girlfriend Barbie Orr in a furious phone call after discovering she had spoken about their love life in a British newspaper.

The 'Fawlty Towers' star met Orr at an audition in October while he was in the midst of divorcing his third wife Alyce Faye Eichelberger.

The 69-year-old was left red-faced after the aspiring actress told a UK tabloid intimate details about their romance last month, describing the star's naked body and recalling their first sexual encounter.

Cleese ended the relationship by leaving an angry message on her cell phone - and has subsequently ignored all her attempts to contact him.

Orr says: "John called me. He was absolutely furious and he just broke up with me. He doesn't even want to talk about it.

"He said in 43 years of being famous no one had ever done anything like this to him."

And Orr was further devastated when she received a text message from Cleese's daughter, Camilla, warning her to stay away from her father.

Orr adds: "He's upset, I'm upset. It's awful. I am a good, caring person, who does work for charity and looks after animals. I do not deserve this!"
