Police in the North are today investigating a serious assault in Co Down.

Police in the North are today investigating a serious assault in Co Down.

It happened in the early hours of this morning at a house in the High Street area of Comber in Newtownards, when the door of the house was kicked in and a row broke out.

A 32-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were taken to hospital with head and body injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward, especially anyone who may have seen a person fleeing from the scene.

The man is described as 6 foot 3 inches tall, with fair hair.
