President Obama says the US economy is getting stronger, despite some evidence that the recovery is weakening.
On a visit to families in Ohio, he admitted it would take time for the millions of Americans who lost their jobs during the recession to find new work.
He also said that an over-supply of homes built during the property bubble is slowing the economic recovery.
